

Born November 8, 1950 in Bloomington to Samuel and Beulah (Stagner) Green. He married Barbara Ann Tasker on September 3, 1967 in Cahokia, MO. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Candy A. (William) Robosky of Peoria; one son, Earl "Tom" (Teri) Green Jr. of Chillicothe; one granddaughter, Heather A. Bicknel of Mackinaw; and two grandsons, Tre Robosky of Peoria, and Seth Green of Chillicothe. He is also survived by one brother; Herb Smith of Lincoln, NE and two sisters; Margaret (Frank) Simon of Cadiz, KY, and Carolyn (James) Frinfrock of Waynesville, IL.
His parents, along with one brother Samuel, and two granddaughters, Jasmine and Kaylie Green preceded him in death.
He was the manager of Big Lots on Sterling Ave. in Peoria for five years, last working in November 1996. Previous to that, he worked for Convenient Food Mart, Eagles Food, Hostess, Jaydon, Apollo, Steak N Shake, and he formerly owned the Ice Cream Shop in the Pekin Mall.
A member of the Glasford United Methodist Church, Earl was a former member of the Pekin Jaycees.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. The Rev. Mike Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 31. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the family through an account established at C.E.F.C.U. in memory of Earl Green Sr.
