

Born June 18, 1912 in Elm Grove Township, Tazewell County to Edward and Nellie (Williams) Schrock, she married Elmer G. Hasselman on April 21, 1938 at St. Charles, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 18, 1998; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Patricia E. (Delroy) Hire of Pensacola, Florida; one son, Richard E. (Taunya) Hasselman of Pekin; grandson, Richard E. (Miranda) Hasselman and their sons, Ricky and Will of Santa Clara, California; and grandson, Robert E. (Kathleen) Hasselman and their son, Evan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She was a former leader of 4-H clubs, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.
She was a 60 year member of Tazewell County Homemakers Extension Association and served on their county board. She served as an election judge in Precinct 9 in Pekin for many years.
She was a member of Pekin Public Schools District 108 Board of Education for 9 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin for over 75 years, had served on the Administrative Board, was a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Phileathea Sunday School class, the Naomi-Rachel Circle and United Methodist Women.
Her family expresses very special thanks to Dr. Janice Takata-Rossi, Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, and Methodist Hospice.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
