Born October 6, 1942 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Duane J. and Mildred L. (Evans) West, she married James W. Rupp on October 23, 1981 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Penny (Rick) Bruder of San Jose; one son, James (Laura Reid) Rupp of Manito; one step-daughter, Deborah (Brian) Landeck of Phoenix, Arizona; eleven grandchildren; Twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary (Carl) Long of Pekin; two sisters-in-law, Teresa West and Barbara (Jerry) Stark, both of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sons, Fred Little, Michael Little, Kenny Little and one stillborn; one granddaughter, Angel Fouts and three brothers, Bill West, Gary West and Garret “Joe” West.
Edie retired from Hallmark House in 2005, where she was a laundry aide. She previously had worked at Pekin Hospital.
She had a passion for bingo, enjoyed fishing and playing video and card games. She also enjoyed camping.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. David McCurdy will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
