
PEKIN ~ Edna Marie Hannah, 100, of 107 Tremont St. in Hopedale, passed away at 10:12 a.m., Wednesday, Sept.1, 2010 in the emergency room at Hopedale Hospital. She was formerly of Pekin and Melbourne, Fla.
Born Jan. 11, 1910 in Winfield, Kan. to Alfred and Bessie (Horton) Harmon, she married Ralph Hannah on Mar. 17, 1934 in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept.29, 1989; 1 sister; 2 brothers; and 1 great-grandson.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Elsie (Bob) Green of Pekin and 1 son, Harlan (Marie) Hannah of Cocoa, Fla.; 1 grandson; 7 step-grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
A homemaker, Marie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.
She was a former member of the Pekin Pallatte Club and Tazewell Home Extension. She was active at the Senior Citizens Center in Melbourne and was a member of the Hopedale Nursing Home Chime Choir.
Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Green Valley Cemetery. Rev. John Schurter, her nephew, will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home and Crematory in Pekin.
