Edward H Eldridge

Born June 13, 1934 in Sewanee, Tennessee to Edward E. and Ivalee (Brown) Eldridge, he married Barbara Ryburn on June 3, 1972 in Springfield.

Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Alan Eldridge of Colorado and Joe Eldridge of Coos Bay, Oregon; 2 granddaughters, Pamela Smith and Sarah Smith; 5 great-granddaughters, Kalea, Danielle, Isabelle, Gabrielle, and Katrena; 1 sister, Bess Cain of Union City, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Terry Eldridge; 1 daughter, Debra Eldridge; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Ed was an electrical and avionics engineer, last working for Furnas Electric in West Chicago, retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma.

Ed loved music and played many instruments.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Ed’s funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2009 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel.  Rev. Terry Edele will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral.  Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
