Edward R Stanley

Born July 24, 1952 in East Peoria to Edward R. Stanley, Sr. and Edith (Waite) Stanley, he married Deborah Harr on April 27, 1972 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Edward B Stanley of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Brian, Mason, Brayden, Seth, Trent and Grace; one sister, Angela Spaulding of Creve Coeur and one brother, Clark Stanley of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donita Jo Stanley; one grandson, Ian Elmore and three sisters, Mary, Shugie and Holly.

Ed worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years before retiring. He later worked for Uftring Chevrolet in Washington, retiring after 17 years.

He enjoyed fishing and camping and had recently began gardening again. Ed had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Ed’s family would like to give a special thank you to her cousin, Heather Jording for all of her help and support.

A gathering celebrating Ed’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
