Elizabeth M Carlson

Born March 16, 1961 in Galesburg to William and Edna (Miller) Dutton, Sr., she married Kent “Carly” Carlson in 1988 in Altona. He died in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one brother, William Dutton, Jr.

Surviving are one daughter, Denise Stone of Pekin; two sons, John (Amy) Dutton and Christopher Carlson of Peoria, AZ; one granddaughter, Ella Dutton of Peoria, AZ; one grandson, Logan Carlson of Peoria, AZ; one sister, Erma (Jerry) Robins of Plainfield; two brothers, Bruce (Alecia) Dutton of Oswego and James Dutton of Galesburg.

Elizabeth worked at Jumer’s in Galesburg for many years. She last worked at Wal Mart in Pekin.

She attended Bethel Baptist Church in Pekin.

Elizabeth was a very giving person that loved to care for people. She also loved to bake and had a great sense of humor. Meeting her grandkids for the first time this Easter was one of her greatest joys.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church in Pekin. Rev. Steven M. Rowell, Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
