Elsie M Anderson

Born September 8, 1936 in Maquon to Clarence Eugene and Flossie Charlotte (Carroll) Kling, she married Clarence Ray Anderson on July 2, 1956 in Herando, MS. He died January 23, 1984 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert L. Anderson on February 15, 2013 in Augusta, AR; eight brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Pam (Mike) Wagner of Pekin and Lesa (Jimer) Kaiser of Grayslake; two granddaughters, Candi Anderson of Augusta, AR and Haley Anderson of Newport, AR; three brothers, Michael (Judy) Kling of Astoria, David Kling of Southern Illinois and Doug (Carla) Kling of Farmington and one sister, Kathryn (Bob) Barr of Bloomington.

A homemaker, Elsie enjoyed gardening, loved playing with her grandchildren and taking long walks. She was a giving and caring person who was always on the go. While living in Arkansas, Elsie helped care for elderly people close to her.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor James C. McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
