

Born April 12, 1918 in Cedar Glades, Arkansas to Clarence and Sarah (Pitts) Caldwell, she married Eugene Secrest on February 16, 1936 in Denver, Colorado. He died August 22, 1967. She later married Raymond Williams on November 26, 1969 in Pekin. He died May 13, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Elster Caldwell; 1 grandson;1 great-grandson, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Surviving are 3 sons, Joseph (Judy) Secrest of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lyle (Debra) Secrest of Pekin, and Gary (Jane) Secrest of Brownsburg, Indiana; 1 daughter, Shirley (Robert)Bryd-St.Clair of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lola Mae (James) Ford of Norphlet, Arkansas.
Elsie had worked as a beautician for 55 years.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Pekin, where she was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society.
Elsie enjoyed embroidery, quilting, crocheting and flower and vegetable gardening.
Her funeral will be at noon Saturday, March 15, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Randy Justus will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
