He was born May 4, 1954 in Marquette Heights to Charles and Laura (Jones) Preston. His parents and one sister, Pamela Jean Preston preceded him in death.
Surviving is his stepson, Jesiah “Jesi” (Lauren) James of Manito.
Eugene had worked at Tazwell Machine Works for many years until he retired. In his retirement he worked part time at Monical’s Pizza in Pekin.
No services are scheduled. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
