

Born May 24, 1942 in Seneca to LeRoy and Agatha Evelyn (McIntyre) Bennett, she married George Coy Wilcox, Jr. on November 17, 1964 in Ottawa. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother of Seneca; three daughters, Benita (David) Kyle of Spring Bay, Carol (Darrell) Hutter and Joyce (Jim) Wood, both of Pekin; eleven grandsons, David, Joey, Doug, Corey, Trever, Chandler, Tony, Nick, Chase, Blake, and Dalton; one granddaughter, Jenny; three great-grandchildren, Joey, Abby, and Cannon; four sisters, Betty Ann (Ben) Neal of Pottstown, Sue (Bill) Weatherington of Pekin, Mary Lou (John Jay) McIntyre of Seneca, and Louise (David) McCumsy of Inverness, Florida; and five brothers, Donny (Joan) Bennett and Tim (Tina) Bennett, both of Ottawa, Danny (Sherry) Bennett of Peoria, Ronnie (Denise) Bennett of Marseilles, and Johnny Bennett of Seneca.
She was preceded in death by her father, one son (Gary Allen Johnson), one great-granddaughter; and three brothers (LeRoy "Butch", Wilbur, and Billy Bennett).
Evelyn had worked at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Seneca, Stockyard Cafe in Peoria, and last at the Quick Trip Store in Pekin.
She was a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673, and volunteered during bingo nights. She bowled on several leagues and attended tournaments. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends at her home.
Her funeral will be at noon Saturday, October 27, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be two hours before the funeral. Pastor W. Mark Utech will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
