F. Joan Stockert

Born May 31, 1929 in Fairbury to Joseph and Hazel (Painter) Bell, she married Emil Carl Stockert on October 7, 1953 in Lincoln. He died March 24, 2012 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Brod of Pekin; one son, Roger Stockert of Pekin; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Groeper of Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren, Nicholas Brod of Peoria, Darren Brod of Pekin, DeAnna Dalliare of Peoria, Arizona, Dr. Darcie Groeper of Mesa, Arizona and Sean Groeper of Michigan and five great-grandchildren.

Joan was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling throughout her life.

She was a homemaker.

A private burial will be held in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin beside her husband. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
