Floyd F Montgomery

Born April 12, 1937 in Manito to Floyd Warren and Lena (Foster) Montgomery, he married Bonnie “Susie” (Kraft) Bryant on December 14, 1968 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Scott Montgomery of Manito, whom he loved; three step-grandchildren, Chad (Mandy) Rife, Shane Magee, and Michael (Stephanie) Magee; step-great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ashlyn, Karli, Kaliegh, Dakota, Alyssa, Noah, and Ty Joseph; one nephew, Mike Montgomery; and close friends, Jan and Fred Block.

He served his country in the United States Navy from July 7, 1954 to April 11, 1958 and in the Navy Reserves until July 6, 1962.

Floyd worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in July of 1991 as a pipefitter.

He was a lifetime member of the Peoria Sportsman Club in rural Manito and the Pekin Moose Family Center #916.

Floyd enjoyed fishing tournaments.

Per his request, there will be no services and cremation will be accorded.
