Francis James Baker Sr.

Born March 3, 1939, in Peoria to James Francis and Ida Mae (Mishler) Baker, he married Judith Pye on January 9, 1960, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Kelly (Mark D.) Walsh of Pekin and Steven (Chrissy) Baker of Goochland, Virginia; five grandchildren, Francis James Baker III, Johnathon Roy Baker, Sandra Christine Chapman, Elizabeth Walsh and Nathaniel Walsh; five great-grandchildren, Kaydence Baker, Caleb Baker, Chloe Baker, Randall Baker and Amelia Chapman and two sisters, Ethel and Patricia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Francis James Baker, Jr. and Randall Wayne Baker; one brother, Fredrick Eli Baker and one great-granddaughter, Haley Nicole Baker.

Francis worked in maintenance for Peoria Public Schools District 150.

He enjoyed spending time with family, watching movies, umpiring baseball games and watching the Green Bay Packers.

There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
