Garry Harold Jennings

Born January 16, 1944 in Pekin to Harold G. and Wilma Lucille (Merritt) Jennings, he married Joy Lynn (Tandy) Schmidt on May 26, 1992 in Las Vegas. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Greg Jennings of Washington; one step-daughter, Tandy Chazar of Bloomington; two step-sons, Paul (Lori) Hunt of Pekin and Ryan Schmidt of Pekin and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jody L. Jennings on September 17, 1989 in Pekin and one sister.

Garry worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

He enjoyed restoring cars, in particular 1976 Chevrolet Caprices. He also enjoyed watching Westerns and going out to eat. He was a fan of Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips.

He attended Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.

His private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
