Gary L Moreland

He was born November 4, 1944 in Pekin to Delbert L. and Helen (Barger) Moreland.

Surviving are his father (age 99) and stepmother, Delbert and Melva Moreland of Pekin; his wife, Marian; one son, Rodney L. (Tiffany) McFarlin of Theodosia, Missouri; one daughter, Jaimee S. Moreland of Washington; four grandchildren, Molly Doyle, Makayla McFarlin, Emily Doyle and Morgan McFarlin; one brother, Alvin Moreland of Spring Lake and one sister, Margaret (Timothy) Harrison of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Virginia and three brothers, Max, Art and Jed.

Gary formerly owned and operated Pekin Checker Taxi in Pekin.

He enjoyed watching television, especially the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no funeral service. Private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
