Gary was truly one of the best men I knew. He was my husbands best friend when we started dating and became one of my best friends. When our lives got busy, we didn’t see each other often, but when we did it was as if no time had passed. I loved him like family.
We will miss him deeply.

To one of my best friends. Cardinal games with you and Greg. Late night coffee at Denny’s or Lums. Parties at Ralph’s house. Sleeping in class at Bradley. I slept, you read the newspaper. Watching Batman, Bullwinkle and Gilligan’s Island at Greg’s. More Cardinals. Taking Peg with us most of the time.
Then we got older and saw each other every few years or so. But whenever we got together we instantly went back to old times as if no time had passed. Too late now but I wish we had kept in touch more. Thought of you a lot but just never picked up the phone.
Rest In Peace dear friend.

Rest in Peace Gary Swanson! You were a great, intelligent man and I miss our conversations. You taught me a thing or two about life and I'm extremely thankful for that. You raised a beautiful daughter that I love dearly. I promise to take care of Kayla, your dogs and of course your Grandkids. I will miss the Cubs-Cardinals talks as well. I have the utmost respect for you. You will be missed!!!

I send my love and God's peace to the Swanson family. I was a classmate of Gary's dad and uncle
Dale and Delbert Swanson. He was a fine young man as I knew him as is and was all of the family.
We were all close over the years. God's Love and Mine, Bud Neptun

Gary and I went to High School together - I love seeing the pictures of his wedding with Larry, Greg and Ralph - they were all such good friends. Gary was funny and so nice. I haven't seen him since a reunion several years ago. I'm so sorry he's gone. He always had a way of making everyone feel good and was a good friend to many. I'm very sorry for your loss - know that you and your family are in many thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear about your father. Gary and I went to high school and were in many classes together. He was always very nice and very fun to talk to. I have run into him throughout the years and it was always fun to catch up with him. He is in my thoughts and prayers.

This saddens me deeply to see such a loss so young. I remember you often, as something you told me many years ago, "short people are the last to get rained on". You had that kind of humor. You will surely be missed from this earthly family.
Much sympathy and prayers for the family.

I will truly miss working with Gary and the dry sense of humor he had, he was always fun to be around. Truly blessed to know him.
