Gayle S Bamber

Born August 24, 1955 in Pekin to Frederick and Dorothy (Lawson) Crooks, she married Clyde Peacock on June 5, 1969 in Pekin. She later married Walter Bamber on February 19, 2001 in Peoria. He died April 3, 2008 in Peoria. Also preceding her in death are her parents and one brother.

Surviving are four sons, Ronnie (Angela) Peacock of Peoria, Randy (Carrie) Peacock of Arkansas City, Kansas, Billy Peacock of Wilkesboro, North Carolina and Timothy (Lori) Peacock of Peoria; one step-son, Jeremy Bamber of Bartonville; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Marijane Kenington of Ft. Myers, Florida and two brothers, Jody Crooks of Peoria and Troy (Debra) Crooks of Rolla, Missouri.

A homemaker, Gayle had worked for Interim Home Health Care in Pekin as a C.N.A., last working in 2008.

She was of the Baptist faith.

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gayle enjoyed gardening, watching birds, playing Farmville on her phone, cooking and being with her family. She will also be missed by her dog, Snoopy

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
