

Born December 22, 1930 in Mason City to Loyal and Zelma F. (Null) DeWitt, she married Lloyd Franklin Earhart on July 5, 1947 in Mason City. He died February 27, 2008 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one niece and one great-great-nephew.
Surviving are one daughter, Debra K. (Gary) Hoyle of Pekin; one son, Larry G. Earhart of Pekin; three grandsons, Scott E. (Shelli) Hoyle, Brett Hoyle, and Lance (Wendy) Earhart; one granddaughter, Noele (Scott) Tatlock; great-grandchildren, Alexis Hoyle, Kelsey Hoyle, Ashley Hoyle, Dawson Hoyle, Drew Tatlock, Tyler Hoyle, Dylon Tatlock and Madelyn Hoyle; one great-great-grandson, Zayne Arthalony; one niece, Robin (Jon) Barr; two nephews, Richard Coats and Mike Coats; two great-nephews, Jason (Angie) Hatfill and 3rd Class Petty Officer Randy Bacon II; one great-niece, Jill (Zack) Keedy; and several cousins.
Geneva was a member of First Christian Church in Pekin. She also was a member of the Pekin Eagles Lodge 1869 Ladies Auxiliary.
She worked as a waitress for many Pekin area restaurants over the years.
Geneva loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, watching old movies and was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Michael K. Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery.
