George F Connett

He was born on April 14, 1929 in Pekin, IL., the son of the late Charles and Margret Hartwig Connett.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He was a machinist for Mid-West Grain Co. in Pekin, IL. He loved fishing and hunting and was a Mason.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth E. Connett (Nancy) of Bluffton, S.C. and George D. Connett of Cameron, WI.; Stepsons, Alan (Kathy) Garrison of Mackinaw, IL. and David Garrison of East Peoria, IL.; A brother, Ernest Connett of Bartonville, IL. and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Widby Connett and his second wife Mary Alice Garrison Connett; brother, Clifford Connett; sister, Vivian Duez; and Aunt, Louise Hartwig Olson.

A visitation will be from 10 to 11AM , Friday, April 26, 2013at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A Graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin, IL., with Pastor Tom Meyers officiating.
