George R Griffith

Born July 27, 1945 in Peoria to Ben and Elizabeth (Blasko) Griffith, he married Susan Tasker on June 20, 1964 in Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his wife on November 18, 2012; his parents; and 1 brother, Robert Griffith.

Surviving are one son, James Griffith of Peoria; three daughters, Laura Griffith and Sharon Griffith, both of Peoria Heights; and Tanya Griffith of Creve Coeur; one sister, Betty (Shannon) Bevard of Washington; and five grandchildren.

George worked at Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville, retiring after 32 years.

He was a private pilot, a handy man, a gardener and a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, the Fighting Illini, and the New York Yankees.

Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.

There will be no visitation or service.
