Born March 11, 1944 in Pekin, he was a son of George William and Phyllis Marie (Buchanan) Neavear. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, William R. Neavear and Randall B. Neavear.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
George began working for Kroger’s at Madison Park in Peoria in September 1969 as a cashier. He was a retired member of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 536 in Peoria.
Private burial will be Monday, March 17, 2025 in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
