Born September 5, 1963 in Pekin to Gerald Keith and Melba Jean (Monroe) Montgomery, Sr., he married Robin Tittle on September 4, 1982 in South Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Justin (Savannah) Montgomery of Minier; one grandson, Brantley Purdy and one half-sister Kathy (Edwin) Blas of Everett, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gerald was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a shift manager at Alto Ingredients in Pekin.
Gerald was a member of Empire Lodge 126 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons in Pekin. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and traveling.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pekin.
