He was born September 15, 1957 in Pekin to Jesse Owens Jr. and Marian Kizer Owens Baer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are four sisters, Gloria Barnhill of East Peoria, Patricia Nelson of Bartonville, Barbara Turner of Pekin, and Diana Hicks of Long Branch, New Jersey; 11 nieces and nephews; 32 great-nieces and nephews and 16 great-great- nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a machinist/welder.
He loved to play pool and cards with family and friends. He played both games in tournaments in Las Vegas. Jerry also loved riding and working on his motorcycle. Many would say his bike was his baby.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
