Gloria E Walters-Price

She was born in Peoria to Kenneth R.D and Anna Marie (Cannon) Schorr Sr. on November 2, 1940 and was raised in Creve Coeur, IL.

She married Brian D. Walters, Sr. on September 12, 1961. After 25 years of marriage, he preceded her in death. She married Kenneth L. Price on November 30, 1996. After 2.5 years of marriage, he preceded her in death.

Gloria was also preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth R.D. and Anna Marie "Sue" (Cannon) Schorr, one brother, Kenneth R.D. "Mike" Schorr, one sister, Rosemary (Schorr) Walters, two brother-in-laws, David Walters, Leslie W. Walters, and sister-in-law, Lorraine Williams.

She is survived by her sister, Victoria (Terry) Wilson, as well as her two sister-in-laws, Judith Schorr and Helen Walters.

She is also survived by her three children, Anna (Michael) Culliford, Brian D. Jr. and (Kathy) Walters, and Victoria (Rodney) Price. Gloria was very proud of her six grandchildren: Brian D. Walters III, Michelle (Chris) Michael, Leslie Walters, Dr. Brittany Price, Bryson (Megan) Vanderheydt, and Zedrick Price. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved just as dearly.

Gloria found joy in time spent with her family and loved ones. Her and her siblings raised a very close-knit family, who lovingly referred to her as Aunt Speedy. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, watching cowboy films, listening to gospel music, as well as playing cards and board games with her family.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin will be held 3:00 p.m. on Thursday September 24, 2020.

Cremation rites have been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, she wished for donations to be made in the name of her great-grandson, Mason Michael, to Baby Fold of Normal, IL to help children with Autism. 108 E Willow St, Normal, Illinois 61761.
