Gregg Edward Todd

Gregg Edward Todd, 64, of Pekin, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on June 9, 1961 in Pekin, to James F. Todd, and Winona J. (Kitchell) Hayden.

Gregg is survived by his daughter, Connie (Thad) Justice of Pekin; two grandsons, Lincoln and Monty Justice; father James F. Todd, stepmother Phyllis Todd; brothers James (April) Todd and David (Janet) Johnsen; sisters LaDonna (David) Fabian, Anna Livengood, and Kay Hayden; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Winona Hayden, stepfather Robert Hayden, and brother Steven Hayden.

Gregg last worked as a foreman for Keystone Steel & Wire in Bartonville, retiring in 2016. He previously worked for Alter Recycling Company in Bartonville for 27 years.

More than anything, Gregg loved being a Dad and Grandpa. He was always front and center to cheer on his grandsons. Gregg was known for salvaging an endless number of power wheels for his grandsons, and their family and friends. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, riding his Harley Davidson, playing darts, and fishing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter how challenging the project.

Gregg's visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home in Pekin. His funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm also on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Justus will officiate. Burial of cremated remains to be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cub Scout Pack 3181 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
