

He was born March 20, 1964 in Pekin to Phillip L. and Sandra (Marlow) Coffrin. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Brian L. Coffrin.
Surviving are two daughters, Samantha (Dan) Everett and Kelsey Anderson, both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Tenley, Easton and Landon Everett; his mother and step-father, Sandra and Allen Gipson of Chatham; one sister, Cindy (Jeff) Gress of Pekin and two nephews, Joshua Gress of Marquette Heights and Jonathan Gress of Homer.
He had worked in the family-owned business, Midstate Heating & Air Conditioning in Pekin for many years before continuing his career in sales. Those who knew him know that he was exceptionally talented and passionate about sales.
Greg was a major Chicago Cubs fan, so much so that he loved to show off his large Cubs tattoo to anyone, especially Cardinal fans in St. Louis. You could usually find him riding his various Harley Davidsons over the years or eating a good steak.
He always had a joke ready to share at any moment. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his daughter, Samantha, along with his three grandkids.
Throughout his school years, Greg attended Faith Baptist Christian School in Pekin. He later went on to serve in the Navy. He loved the Lord and held an unwavering faith in God through life’s trials and triumphs.
His funeral will be at 5 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Brian Eatock will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
