Born Mar.12, 1952 in Knox, Ind. to Robert and Lois (Counterman) Kajer, he married Joann Hopps on Dec.24, 1979 in Pekin.
Surviving are 1 son, Jonathan Kajer of Peoria; 1 daughter, Lynnette Palms of Havana; 4 grandchildren; 1 brother, Kelly (Jacquee) Burroughs of Pekin; 1 sister, April Gettings-Watson of Green Valley; and his step-father, Dean Burroughs of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters.
Guy was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked as a truck driver for Star Transport in Morton for 20 years, last working in 2003.
Guy was a member of Pekin Moose Family Center #916 and he enjoyed fishing and football.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.
