H. Dean Robinson

Born March 2, 1946 in Canton to William and Lucille (Harmon) Robinson, he married Sharon Joe Jackson on March 15, 1969 in Lewistown.  She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Eric (Sheri) Robinson of Pekin; one daughter, Nikole Robinson of Chicago; one grandson, Cody Robinson of Pekin; and one brother, Roger (Pat) Robinson of Lewistown.

His parents preceded him in death.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Dean worked for Hand Construction in Bartonville as a project estimator, retiring in December of 2005.  Previously, he worked as a project estimator for both Allied Construction and CIIC Inc.

He attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pekin.  He was a former member of the Peoria Dirt Riders and was a current member of the Alligator Club.

Dean enjoyed watching all sports and traveling on his motorcycle with his friends.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Very Rev. Brian Kellington will officiate.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
