Hilda Marie Radefeld, 88, of Pekin, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Born June 4, 1923 in Sand Prairie Township, Illinois to Philip and Katie (Rauch) Lannert, she married Richard A. Radefeld September 28, 1947 in Pekin . He preceded her in death September 26, 1976 in Pekin.
Surviving are her niece, Evelyn Palmer of Pekin; two nephews, Donald Swing of Pekin and Vernon Swing of Lovington, Illinois; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Hilda worked in the Accounting Department at Pekin Insurance for 32 years, retiring in 1988. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin; and a member of Yepi’s at Pekin Insurance.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin, with Rev. Dr. Rodger Abatie officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin.
