she was an amazing person, with a heart of gold!!!

Mrs. Goetze was always a caring person.  She was always there for students, fellow teachers, and others alike.  She touched many lives in many ways.  I always enjoyed the time I had to spend with her whether it was at school or down on the farm.  I am thankful for all of the lessons that she taught me.  The best thing for anyone that has these memories to do is to spread them and keep them alive!   

Im so sorry to hear of her passing! She was an amazing woman and made a real impact on me as a student! I always enjoyed going to the library to talk to her about things, including her love for cows!!

Iona was such a dear person with a "heart of gold".  I worked with her 11 years at Midwest Central Middle School.  She showed such compassion and caring to everyone around her.  She will be greatly missed.

Deepest sympathies to Mr. Goetze, Robyn, Terry, and family. Mrs. G was truly an amazing woman. She will be greatly missed. I will always remember the great laughs, the interesting conversations, and so much that she has taught me. God bless you.

I hope you find some peace in the coming days.  Hold on to the good memories and may those thoughts bring you comfort.  I'm glad I came tonight - to share your loss and re-discover old friends.

Mrs. Goetze touched so many lives.  She was always cheerful and there wasn't a time she couldn't make a person smile.  We considered her a part of our family too.  She was just simply a beautiful person and she will be missed.

Bob and girls:  We were deeply saddened when we heard the news.  Iona was a very dear neighbor and friend.  She always had time for our girls out on the farm, and they loved every minute of it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now.   She will be greatly missed.

We just received a call from Darold & Alona Hardin letting us know of your loss.  So sorry we are unable to personally let you know how sorry we are for the loss of your wife, mother, and grandmother as we are currently on vacation on the Northwest coast and Canada.  I still have many fond memories of earlier days spending time at the family farm and will always remember how sweet and kind Iona was to me. What a sad day for all of us who knew and loved Iona.  I feel fortunate to have known such a kind, caring and humble person.   She was a good friend to me and I will miss her so much. 

Bob, Robyn, Terry and family she was just a wonderful, caring person. We shared alot of happy times. God has a special place for her in heaven and we truly believe that. Robyn, think of all those beautiful memories you have of your mom. No one can take those away from you. You were two peas in a pod. We were very blessed to have known such a beautiful person. Mrs. Goetze was such a wonderful teacher.  She was able to touch so many lives, including mine, in her years as a librarian.  I am now a middle school librarian and I have been able to share the stories that she shared with my classes when we were in grade school.  Today she has not only impacted the students of her time but also those of the present and future.   She will be greatly missed.

What a shock.  I am in North Carolina right now or I would be there with all of you.  I have so many wonderful memories with your family and your Mom.  Plus, I have so many stories that my Mom shared of her and your Mom in their high school years. They were wild ones.  LOL   She will live on forever in my life and my kids.  So many memories and now so many tears!  Will see you all Tuesday at visitation.  She will be greatly missed by many.
