Born October 11, 1945 in Chicago to Carl Weston and Ethel (Birdsell) Ferguson, he married Nancy Davis on September 18, 1965. She survives.
Surviving are two sons, David Ferguson of South Pekin, Mike (Ann) Ferguson of Pekin; one sister, Carol Gagnon of Pekin; 4 grandchildren, Thomas, Madison, Trinady, Evan; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Irwin E. Ferguson Jr. and Thomas Scott Ferguson Sr.; one brother, Jim Ferguson and one sister, Laverne Donaldson.
Irwin had a heart of gold. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping, spending time with his grandchildren and family friends and taking trips with his wife.
A private visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin. Pastor Ken Stewart will officiate.
