Born Jun.28, 1939 inGalesburg to Ambrose and Calla (Pickering) Foote, he married Beverly Hollister on Dec. 23, 1974 in Havana.
Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Rod (Christie) Wickert of Peoria and Guy (Cindy) Wickert of Manito; 2 daughters, Tina Foote of St. Peters, Mo. and Laura (Dennis) Watson of Marquette Hts.; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Marilyn (Ross) Gorgone of Pasadena, Calif., Joanne Russell of San Dimas, Calif., Helen Shepperd of Utica, Ky. and Mary (Charles) Workman of Peoria; and 1 sister-in-law, Betty Foote of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by 1 son, J. Randall Foote; 1 daughter, Peggy Anne Miera; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 5 sisters.
Jack was self employed, operating Jack Foote Floor Installation for 50 years, retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed woodworking and collecting and restoring antiques. He was a handyman and “Jack of all trades”.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin. Rev. John King will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
