Jack Keedy

Born May 2, 1943 in Muddy to Don and Elberta (Morgan) Keedy, he married Lois Vaughan on April 13, 1974 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are onedaughter, Stephanie Vermillion of North Pekin; one son, Zack (Jill) Keedy of Pekin; one sister, Mae Simpson of North Pekin; and three brothers, Luther (Ann) Keedy of Golconda, Franklin (Cathy) Keedy of Anna, and Dave (Sandy) Keedy of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; three brothers; and his two dogs, Molly and Joe.

Jack was self employed, operating Keedy's Cars in North Pekin for many years until retiring in 2008. Previously, he had worked for Corn Products Corporation in Pekin, Caterpillar, Inc., and had also worked construction.

Jack enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and NHRA racing, and visiting with family and friends.

His visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The family requests that visitors wear casual attire. Cremation will be accorded following visitation. There will be no funeral.
