Jacob Wacker

Born October 18, 1932 in Romania to Alexander and Klara (Temisi) Wacker, he married Elfriede Flegel on June 15, 1957. She died June 4, 2023 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by one son, Bruce Wacker; two siblings, Katie Hasty and Rudy Wacker.

surviving are one daughter, Heidi (Kirk) Florey of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Jackie Florey of Farmington, Sarah Barrett of Peoria, Jacob (Addrienne) Wacker of Texas, Addrienne (Kostas) Leucker of Texas, Jordan (Emily) Wacker of Oklahoma and Andrew (Jonna) Wacker of Texas; 14 great-grandchildren and six siblings, Lene (Heinz) Doering, John (Ilse) Wacker, Adolph (Beverly) Wacker, Erika (Barry) Rebuck, Ilse (Bill) Seggerman and Inge (John) Zimmerman.

Jake operated a lawn-care business in Florida with his wife for many years, before retiring. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, horses and horseback riding and in his free time he also enjoyed fishing.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services at this time.
