

Born September 10, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota to George Wendell and Wilma Winifred (Spring) Carver, she married Charles A. Davis, Jr. on March 21, 1970 at St. Paul, Minnesota. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles Benjamin "Ben" (Nickie) Davis and Matthew Jacob (Jessica) Davis, both of Normal and three grandchildren, Clayton Davis of Louisville, Kentucky, Jacob Davis and George Davis, both of Normal.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A 1970 graduate of Hamlin University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jacqueline earned her Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in a double major of Psychology and Spanish. Her career was diverse and fulfilling, including roles as a sales representative for Maurie’s Shoes in the Pekin Mall, a social services manager at Beechwood Nursing Home in Pekin, and a teacher's aide for Pekin Public Schools District 108 at Willow Primary School, Washington Intermediate, and Jefferson Primary School.
Jacqueline's personal interests included scrapbooking and cross stitch, activities she enjoyed immensely. Her commitment to community service was evident through her 20-years of volunteer work with Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree Ministry on behalf of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She also led a Bible Study at the Federal Correctional Institution in Pekin. Jacqueline took great pride in teaching piano for many years to so many kids in the community.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Stephen D. Barnes will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
