Born January 1, 1938 in Peoria to William and Albena (Cinotto) Kilpatrick, she was the oldest of five children.
After graduating, she attended Bob Jones University and became a teacher. In 1990, she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Griffith.
She was the beloved mother of Daren (Denise) Courtright of Carbondale, Tyler (Shannon) Courtright of Brimfield, Colise (Hank) Gufrinck of Bloomington, and Allison (Edward) McEwen of Prairie City; step mother to Jennifer Buckles of Arvada, Colorado and Chris (Jennifer) Griffith of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was also the proud grandmother of Stephanie, Kristine, Ashley, Zachary,
Marissa, Morgan, Tommy, Aidan, Grace, Sophia, Wesley, Luke, Jacob and Cole, and was blessed to be a great-grandmother of six.
Also surviving are one sister, Kathleen Kilpatrick of Bloomington and two brothers, William (Mary) Kilpatrick of Ft. Myers, Florida and Roger Kilpatrick of Peoria.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Tom Kilpatrick, and husband, Tom Griffith.
She lived a full life as a wonderful mother and devoted wife. She was an accomplished pianist, world traveler, avid gardener, and gifted hostess.
Jackie was active in every church she attended, playing piano, directing choir, teaching Sunday school and leading Bible studies. Her faith in Jesus was evident in every aspect of her life, and she strove to instill that same faith in her children.
Above all, Jackie loved her family, and she planned many get togethers, trips,
reunions, dinners and other fun events to spend time with them.
Her memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Brimfield Evangelical Church, 11724 North Maher Road, Brimfield, Illinois 61517. The Rev. John Hopwood will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
