

Born June 24, 1969 in Peoria to Michael Daune and Christine A. (Rieder) Barnes, he married Brandi Marie Bouchez on July 4, 2005 in Hopedale. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Vanessa Donaho-Bouchez of South Pekin and Mackenzie Barnes of Washington; one son, William “Willy” Barnes of Hopedale; one grandson, Blake Spradlin of South Pekin; his father and step-mother, Michael and Jeanie Barnes of South Pekin; grandmother, Marlene Hosick of South Pekin; two sisters, Phyllis Coggins of Springfield and Penny Winters of Cuba, IL; two step-sisters, April (Nick) Gehrt of Independence, MO and Danielle (Kyle May) Hosick of Peoria; and one step-brother, Terry (Angela) Bouchez of Mt. Carroll.
His mother preceded him in death in 2005.
Jimmy was working in maintenance at the Morton Walmart. Previously, he worked for Prairieland Builders in Hopedale for 19 years.
Jimmy enjoyed carpentry work, working on cars, and gardening.
His visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A service celebrating his life will follow at 4 p.m. Cremation will be accorded after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help withexpenses.
