James Stuart Crisman
October 18, 1930 – April 29, 2021
PEKIN ~ James Stuart Crisman, 90, of Pekin, formerly of Marquette Heights, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care in Pekin.
Born October 18, 1930 in Villa Ridge to Leroy and Viola (Ivy) Crisman, he married the love of his life Dorothy Gillespie on August 24, 1956 in Vienna. She passed away on October 15, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Crisman and one sister, Florence Fairbanks.
Surviving are his one son, Jeff (Deb) Crisman of Dahinda; five daughters, Sue (Dan) Gullet of Bradford, Terry Crisman of Kansas, Betty Jo (George) Craver of Tremont, Linsy (Wes) Stockham of Lexington, and Angie Jo (Brent) Goudie of Pekin; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
James worked for P & P Railroad Company for over 30 years retiring in 1991.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed archery, duck and deer hunting, and fishing.
James was of the Baptist Faith.
He was not only a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather but a United States Army Korean War Veteran.
His graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Pastor Linsy Stockham will officiate. Military rites will be accorded.
Arrangements have entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin.
