James R Potts

He was born November 10, 1965 in Bloomington to Harlan C. and Josephine (Saathoff) Potts.

Surviving are his mother, Josephine, of Normal; four sisters, Deborah (Ralph) Kellermann of Cooksville, Sherita (Mike) Wheeler of Bloomington, Volita (Harry) Riddle of Normal and Pamela (Rusty) Thomas of Normal; one brother, Barney (Shirley) Potts of Stanford; one stepson, Brian “BJ” Eichhorn of Chicago and the love of his life, Penni Eichhorn of Hopedale.

He was preceded in death by his father and one stepdaughter, Haileigh Eichhorn on May 7, 2013.

Jimmy had worked for Legg & Son Roofing in Bloomington, last working in 2007 due to his health.

A loving son and brother, Jimmy had a great sense of humor. He also loved cars, fishing and animals. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

According to his wishes, cremation will be accorded. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, 423 Kays Drive, Normal, IL 61761.
