

He was born August 13, 1935 in Bloomington to James Joseph and Mary Louise (Friedrich) Quinn. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sisters, Louise (Francis) DuBois of Metamora, Rita (Gene) Ackley of Creve Coeur, MargaretQuinn of East Peoria and JudyDavidson of Peoria; two brothers, Jack (Kay) Quinn of East Peoria and Steven (Kathy) Quinn of Peoria.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958 and attained the rank of Corporal.
He was a mechanic for Central Illinois Light Company for 26 years, retiring as the second shift supervisor of the Pekin District on September 1, 1990.
Jim was a member of the Illinois Valley Two Cylinder Club and enjoyed participating in many tractor shows and parades.
He restored several old tractors, including a rare 1934A John Deere experimental open shaft tractor that was exhibited at the John Deere Expo II in Waterloo, Iowa, an event that attracted over 100,000 people from around the world.
He was of the Catholic faith.
There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded. Private burial of the ashes will be at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel.
