Jane Raines

Born December 27, 1947 in Palmer, Missouri to Estill and Irene (Schoenborn) Schroeder, she married Dennis Raines on July 31, 1965 in Chicago. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Jimmy) Jenkins of Haslet, Texas and six siblings, John Schroeder, Howard Schroeder, Eddie Schroeder, Carla Griffey, Helen Ann “Susie” Malaise and Esther Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty and one brother, Ercil.

Jane worked for Aetna Insurance for many years. She later worked for Advance Technology Services in Peoria before retiring.

She was a member of the Celestial City Chapter 333, Order of the Eastern Star in Pekin. Jane was a caring and easy going person. She enjoyed country couples dancing with her husband and her annual girl’s trip with her sisters and nieces, a tradition they have continued for over 30 years.

There will be no service. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
