

Born May 24, 1944 in Springfield, she was the daughter of Russell E. and Ruth Ella (Lewis) Jones. She married Bruce Heilman on Nov. 1, 1963 in Pekin. She later married Floyd Ray Green on Mar. 15, 1998 in Las Vegas. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Bryson Heilman of North Pekin; one daughter, Wendy (Lance) Earhart of Pekin; one step-daughter, Naomi (Ty) Eller of Washington; three grandchildren, Haley (Joseph) Metcalf of Pekin, Zachariah Green of Canton and Rose Eller of Washington; five great-grandchildren, Ella Kay Oakes, Jerzie Metcalf, Minnie Mae Metcalf, Frannie Jo Metcalf and Marceline Isabella Green; one sister, Carolyn (Andrew) Anderson of Lake St. Louis and one brother, Charles (Daetta Kay) Jones of Peoria. She also leaves Amy Schimmelpfennig who was like a daughter to her.
Her parents preceded her in death.
She was a 1962 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
Janet worked for Psychological Associates in East Peoria for 10 years, retiring as their office manager in 2005. She also had worked for Leo's Flowers in Peoria and Ripper's and the Greenhouse Flower Shoppe, both in Pekin.
She was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was fond of her dogs, Cuddles and Holly.
Janet was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin.
Her graveside funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Farmdale Cemetery in rural Washington. Pastor Vernon Risner will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
