

Born January 5, 1940 in Pekin to Raymond Herbert and Jessie Marie (Tadlock) Dickson, he married Judy Ann Dixon on July 3, 1960 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth Wayne (Kim) Dickson of Pekin, Jeffery Scott Dickson of Green Valley, and Richard Brian (Patricia) Dickson of Grand Rapids, Michigan; six grandchildren, Dillon M. Dickson and Jasmine R. Dickson-Rivera, both of Pekin, Zachery S. Dickson of Green Valley, and Ethan B. Dickson, Kyra A. Dickson, and Derik W. Dickson, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and two step-grandchildren, Jason L. Bachelor of Tennessee and Keshia B. Bachelor of Champaign.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother (William Dean Dickson).
Jerry worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville for 38 years, retiring July 1, 1997 as a foreman in the mid-mill.
He was a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs, Mid-Illinois Corvette Club, Keystone Retirees Club, and First Christian Church in Pekin.
Jerry enjoyed going to car shows and cruise-ins, working in his yard, and spending time with his family.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Tim Dearborn will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
