John August Comella

After many years of health challenges, John left his pain and suffering and was called by God to be present with the Lord.

John was liked by all that got to know him – he had a great sense of humor, and an encyclopedic knowledge of music, sports and anything to do with Law & Order. He was a lone dedicated White Sox fan in a family of Cubs fans. He talked to his parents and siblings every single day just to make sure we were all okay.

John was the beloved son of August (Galena, IL) and Charline Comella (Chicago, IL), and the much loved brother of Carol (Rockford, IL) and Anthony (Peoria, IL). He was the brother-in-law of Kathy Comella (Morton, IL) and uncle to Christopher (Coon Rapids, MN) and Brian (Morton, IL). He will also be missed by his aunt, uncle and first cousins with whom he spent many happy holidays growing up.

John was a joy and a help always to his family and he left us too soon. Blessed be the name of the Lord, we look forward to seeing him again one day.
