Jon Karl Garrison

Pekin ~ Jon Karl Garrison, 61, of Pekin, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 16, 1964, in Pekin, a son of Donald Wilson Garrison and Donna (Hart) Garrison. Jon married Marilyn Corley on October 28, 1996, in Pekin. She survives.

He is also survived by his two children, Bailey (Nicholas Timke) Garrison and Conner Garrison, both of Pekin; one granddaughter, Willow Timke of Pekin; two sisters, JaDonna (Bruce) Johnson of Urbana and Janelle (Todd) Butler of South Dakota; one brother, Don (Christa Franzen-Garrison) Garrison, Jr. of Wyoming, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Ronald Garrison.

Jon worked as a welder & fabricator for Hanley Steel, Inc. in Peoria for over 20 years, making many wonderful things.

He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, reading Western novels, and watching mystery story videos on YouTube. Jon especially loved getting his granddaughter, Willow riled up.

Jon was voted Pillar of his community. He was known as someone who never missed work. Jon raised an amazing family full of great memories.

Jon's memorial visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home in Pekin. Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
