Born July 2, 1971 in Peoria, he was the son of Lee Wilford and Lila Louise (Harkleroad) Hottell.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Lila and Bill Anderson of Manito; his father, Lee Hottell of Pekin and one sister, Beth Renfro of Pekin.
Jon was into flying drones and was a pet enthusiast. He enjoyed his fish aquariums. He was a graduate of New Horizons School for Technology.
He was a member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley.
Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are planned at this time.
