Joseph F Kraus

Born November 5, 1937 in Farmersville to Louis and Helen (Bohler) Kraus, he married Barbara Lee. He later married Susan Alden in February 1987 in Pekin.

Surviving are one daughter, Nicole L. (Trenton Hostettler) Kraus of Bartonville; two sons, David Kraus and Brent Kraus, both of Pekin; two grandchildren, Kristen Kraus and Alex Kraus, both of Pekin; four brothers, Larry (Karen) Kraus, Jerry (Gail) Kraus, Bob (Linda) Kraus, all of Farmersville and Jim (Connie) Kraus of Pekin; and one sister, Janet King of Ft. Myers, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one son, Joseph Kraus, Jr.

Joseph attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

He had worked out of the KK Building at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for over 25 years, last working as a yard lift driver, and retiring in 1993.

Joseph enjoyed fishing, Florida and traveling to visit family in Farmersville. He was a NASCAR fan and especially enjoyed watching Dale Earnhart, Jr. He liked having breakfast at "Missy’s" and loved being around his friends and family.

His memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Crossroads Full Gospel Church in Pekin. Rev. James Hawkins will officiate. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
