He was born April 5, 1975 in Pekin to Daniel William and Joan A. (Svendsen) Dawe.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Joan and Lyn Howard of Pekin; father, Daniel (Renee Jones) Dawe, Sr. of Manito; one daughter, Joslyn Elizabeth Dawe of Topeka; fiancé, Jennifer Lynn Clark of Topeka; one brother, Daniel W. Dawe, Jr. of Pekin; one sister, Julie A. Dawe of Pekin; one step-brother, Brock A. (Leora) Howard of Gilroy, California; three step-sisters, Sharon M. (Ron) Reinartz, Kathi L. (Tim) Bilyk, and Bethann (Mark) Holcomb, all of Gilroy, California; and grandparents, Ernest "Ernie" and Alice Svendsen of Pekin and Ron and Donna Kirstein of Crystal Lake.
Josh was a member and worked out of Iron Workers Local Union #112 in East Peoria since September of 1999. He was proud to be an Iron Worker!
He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Mason County Farm Bureau, Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association, and Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association.
Josh enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where a Christian wake service will be held at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joslyn E. Dawe Education Fund in care of CEFCU.
