Joy was born February 17, 1969 in Pekin to Ray Goolsby and Sandra Schappaugh. Both of her parents preceded her in death as well as her stepfather, Larry Wilhelm.
Surviving are two sons, Trevor (Mary) Goolsby and Dale Parker, III; two brothers, Christopher Goolsby and Matthew (Shannon) Goolsby; three grandchildren, Edward, Nikolai, and Theresa; and her boyfriend, Larry Andrews.
In her free time, Joy enjoyed fishing, scrapbooking, spending time with animals, especially her cat, Precious, and the neighbor’s dog, and collecting knick knacks. She was especially fond of going to concerts with Larry.
There will be no services. Cremation arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Joy’s honor to TAPS Animal Shelter, 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
